My great-grandfather negotiated rights of way for the railroad, my grandfather owned a title company and my father owned a heavy equipment company so my ties South Dakot are well established.
My belief is that client's want enough information that allow them to actively particiate in the purchase or sale of "their" property. In addition, everyone needs to protect their financial and emotional interests. While the term "interests" is fairly self explanatory this word is interpreted differently depending on whether a client is a buyer or seller or both. An emotional interest is one where the buyer or seller experiences the ups and downs of the home marketing/purchase process. EXAMPLE: A buyer may put in an offer on "the ideal" home only to be dissapointed when another offer is accpeted and their offer rejected.
My job is to prepare a buyer and seller to understand the entire process of acquiring or selling a home. When you complete a transaction and feel great about the process and the results then there is no greater referall for my efforts.
